Chapman Chastain is a Partner at Ascent Real Estate Partners, focusing on retail site selection, landlord representation, and general commercial sales across the Charlotte MSA. He works closely with property owners, developers, and growing retail brands to identify opportunities and execute transactions that align with investment and business objectives.

Since joining Ascent in 2017, Chapman has played an active role in leasing, repositioning, and advising on projects throughout several of Charlotte’s high-growth corridors, including North End, NoDa, and South End. His work centers on urban retail environments and neighborhood commercial districts where thoughtful tenant curation and disciplined deal execution drive long-term value.

Chapman brings a detailed understanding of local ownership structures, development pipelines, and neighborhood dynamics, allowing him to identify strategic opportunities for his clients. He regularly works with private owners, developers, and emerging retail concepts, navigating Charlotte’s rapidly evolving urban landscape.

Prior to joining Ascent, Chapman worked for Vail Resorts in Breckenridge, Colorado, and earned an Associate Degree in Psychology from Southern Union State Community College. He is licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina and serves on the Education Committee for the Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors.

Outside of work, Chapman enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, skiing, and exploring Charlotte’s neighborhoods.
